Grinding Machines
Most thermal spray coatings will require a deliberate finishing step to achieve a geometric requirement or surface finish. In some instances, where the material is soft enough the coating can be turned with a traditional machining method. However, for very hard, Cermet or Ceramic type coatings, grinding is the only possible process available to remove material and achieve tolerances smaller than 0.001″.
Our spherical grinding machines are designed specifically for ball valve spheres. These machines can be scaled to grind ball valves from 0.5″ line size up to 30″ line size. We also offer multiple polishing solutions for concentric and eccentric cylindrical components.
